London — 3 October, 2019 — Audioboom announced a slate of new shows as they launched the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s first UK Podcast Upfronts.

The newest addition to the IAB’s Digital Upfronts week brought together major brands within the podcasting industry to inform, inspire, and educate the advertising community.

Audioboom’s Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Development, Thomas Mancusi and UK Head of Content, Mike Newman represented Audioboom in the first of five sessions at Shoreditch Town Hall.

They announced new talent-driven programming including Sue Perkins: An Hour or so with… which will make its debut as part of the Audioboom Originals Network on 10th October 2019. The show sees Perkins inviting special guests for an intimate chat about their lives and passions as they strip away formalities and indulge in some good old fashioned conversation.

Set to premiere 31st October 2019 is The Greatest Game with Jamie Carragher. Liverpool FC legend, Carragher interviews some of the biggest stars from the sport, alongside a collection of famous non-footballing faces about their lives, asking each interviewee about the greatest game they ever played in or witnessed.

“We’re so excited to be working on these new shows with both Sue and Jamie — each show is packed full of engaging entertainment and I can’t wait for people to hear them,” — said Newman of the newest Audioboom Originals set to launch this fall.

As the company gears up for growth in the UK market, it also announced the promotion of Shaun Wilson to the role of UK Head of Sales. Wilson will focus on facilitating opportunities for major brands to connect with audiences through host endorsements and live reads from the UK’s strongest podcasting talent.
