NEW YORK — May 1, 2018 — In honor of “Better Hearing Month”, Audioboom is launching its month-long Listen In Campaign in support of Starkey Hearing Foundation, which provides hearing aids and healthcare assistance to the deaf and hearing impaired in over 100 countries.
With the Listen In Campaign, Audioboom will leverage its global ad network and team up with popular podcasts including The 45th, Actual Innocence, And That’s Why We Drink, Astonishing Legends, Blank Check, Buried Alive, Casefile, Convicted, Deliberations, Felon True Crime, Fireside Mystery Theatre, InBox, Into The Portal, Mafia, Mission To Zyxx, Space Nuts, SpaceTime with Stuart Gary, Undisclosed and What’s Your Jersey? raise $25,000 for Starkey Hearing Foundation’s current initiatives around the world. Afghanistan, Cambodia, Canada, Democratic Republic of the Congo, El Salvador, Guyana, India, Nicaragua, Peru, the United States, Vietnam and Zambia are just a few of the countries where Starkey Hearing Foundation has provided aid.
“We are thrilled to work with Audioboom during Better Hearing Month to help raise funds for our hearing health initiatives around the world,” said Richard Brown, President and Board Chair of Starkey Hearing Foundation. “This is the first time we are engaging with podcast listeners to increase awareness and raise donations and we are thankful that such influential podcasts are helping to spread our message.”
According to the World Health Organization, more than 460 million people have disabling hearing loss but less than three percent of these individuals can afford hearing aids or even have access to the care they need. Starkey Hearing Foundation has provided hearing care to well over 1 million people to date, and continues to expand its reach across the globe.
“We know that podcast listeners are some of the most loyal, dedicated and engaged content consumers in the world,” said Jeremy Helton, VP Marketing & Communication at Audioboom. “And we are eager to mobilize those fans in support of Starkey Hearing Foundation’s amazing mission.”
