AUDIOBOOM ANNOUNCES PODCAST DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH TRUE CRIME OBSESSED AND DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH OBSESSED NETWORK
NEW YORK, NY — APRIL 12, 2021 — One of the global leaders in podcast publishing, Audioboom has closed two separate deals — a distribution agreement with hit podcast True Crime Obsessed and a development agreement with the Obsessed Network.
Under the terms of the long-term distribution deal between True Crime Obsessed and Audioboom, the expanded strategic partnership will result in exclusive monetization and distribution of the podcast. Hosted by Patrick Hinds and Gillian Pensavalle, True Crime Obsessed has been downloaded more than 70 million times since first partnering with Audioboom in 2017.
Separately, the agreement with the Obsessed Network will expand the monetization and distribution of the brand’s existing and new shows, as well as provide funding for the development of additional podcasts, including Strange and Unexplained with Daisy Eagan, under the Obsessed Network banner. Launched in 2020, the Obsessed Network is home to several projects, including Obsessed With: Disappeared, Crimes Of The Centuries, and Unjust and Unsolved. The network received more than 10 million downloads in its first year.

UTA brokered the deals on behalf of True Crime Obsessed and the Obsessed Network. In February 2021, True Crime Obsessed ranked 52nd on Triton Digital’s ranker of top US podcasts. New episodes are released weekly on Tuesdays.
